MAC lipstick splurges..

Hi, 

Finally I decided on getting some what I would call 'high end' lipstick compared to my Superdrug mua lipsticks. I did some informal research (watched YouTube makeup gurus) before purchase and went with two shades from the MAC range which would compliment my skintone. 

Russian Red & Lustering.

Sorry for the swatches, the red shade looks slightly orange which it is not. I like how it is matte and the other is slightly shiny like a lipgloss but the shade would go really well with NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss.

Story behind/about the purchase 

I was in the mac counter at Selfridges & decided to purchase the fixing spray. I had some weddings to go to so it came into good use.

Application 

I used the spray before apply my mac foundation and I felt the difference as it was a more wet feeling when applying, so there was an ease with application.

Effect 

Also it gave the foundation a dewy effect rather than a matte which I expect usually from mac studio fix fluid. However once it settles in. Its matte again.

I haven't used the fixing spray after application of makeup as I am scared it will ruin it.
